Launch of the City of London's 2011 Heart of the City Programme
The City of London's
Heart of the City
programme provides
completely free support
over a two year period to businesses wanting
to start or further develop a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme
. CSR encompasses community support such as volunteering, reducing your carbon footprint, improving your employee's wellbeing and sustainable procurement. Heart of the City provides support via a series of workshops, mentoring and online materials. They have built their programme on the expertise and best practice of over 330 businesses.
The programme is currently recruiting members for the 2011 programme. As part of this the Lord Mayor Alderman Michael Bear would like to invite your CEO/Chairman to
Breakfast Briefings at Mansion House on either 2nd or 11th March
, where they will hear more about the programme. This is also a great way to engage senior management with your CSR activities.
Over breakfast, your Chair/CEO will have the opportunity to network and to hear from the
Chairmen and Chief Executives
of businesses that have benefited from the programme, as well as a number of the 90 leading businesses which provide practical hands-on support to the programme, which include;
Clifford Chance, Nomura and Investec
. More information can be found
here
.
For more information and to RSVP with the name of the most appropriate senior level representative to attend on behalf of your organisation, please email
info_heartofthecity@cityoflondon.gov.uk
, indicating which date they can attend. Alternatively please do not hesitate to call
Heart of the City
on 0207 332 3848.
Additionally, if you feel the
Heart of the City
