We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Digital Marketing Executive to join our team at Action Sustainability.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about sustainability and have a strong track record in executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our brand’s reputation and driving membership growth for the Supply Chain Sustainability School across the UK, Ireland, and USA markets. You will excel at managing our digital presence, crafting compelling creative assets, and delivering clear, impactful communication.

The team

The Marketing department sits at the heart of the business, providing marketing tools, best practice, and expertise.

As a key member of our team, you will drive growth and uncover new opportunities to engage our members and clients, advancing our mission to effect positive, sustainable change globally.

This role reports to the International Marketing Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

International Digital Strategy & Campaigns:

  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns tailored for the UK, Ireland, and USA.
  • Adapt messaging and strategies for each market based on regional insights and audience preferences.
  • Align campaigns with international sustainability trends, policies, and regulations.

Website & Content Management:

  • Regularly update and optimise the websites to reflect current initiatives and enhance user engagement.
  • Create branded microsites to drive engagement amongst target audience on key sustainability topics.
  • Produce high-quality content including news articles, blog posts, and publications to build thought leadership across global markets.

Social Media & Community Engagement:

  • Implement localised social media strategies to increase engagement and community growth.
  • Track regional social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.

Email Marketing & CRM:

  • Execute email marketing campaigns tailored for different international audiences.
  • Manage mailing lists, segment audiences, and ensure compliance with GDPR (UK/EU) and CCPA (USA).

Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilise tools like Google Analytics to track regional user behaviour and campaign performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis.

Strategic Partnerships & International Industry Engagement:

  • Deliver marketing campaigns for key strategic partnerships across the UK, Ireland, and USA.
  • Oversee exhibition stands and digital presence at events.
  • Support the submission of industry awards to enhance brand visibility.

Creative & Brand Management:

  • Design professional promotional materials, social media graphics, and event collateral.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with brand guidelines.

Reporting & Process Improvement:

  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports offering key insights and recommendations to the International Marketing Manager and stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-business teams to refine processes and introduce new marketing initiatives.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using digital marketing tools (Mailchimp/Force24, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Hootsuite), design software (Canva), analytics platforms (Google Analytics), survey tools (SurveyMonkey), content management systems (WordPress), and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Passion for Sustainability: Genuine interest in sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing role, with strong expertise in campaign management and a keen eye for design and detail.
